Since Tuesday night our team spent almost 35 hours traveling. They arrived to Budapest on Friday in the night hours, only to continue playing as a guest of BEAC-Újbuda domestically.
We have been better than them at the season opener with no less than 60 points, but they have already caused some problems for some teams that were stronger than them on paper during the season. With all the thousands of kilometers in our legs we cannot expect an easy game on Saturday from 3 pm either, but if we can be focused, than getting the win cannot be a problem for us even this way. The key will be this, and that we regenerate as soon as possible afterwards, and step on court against Lille in suitable physical condition because in that game we could clinch a play-off spot in the Euroleague if we win. The first games between these two teams date back all the way to the 1989/1990 season. We fought some memorable battles against BEAC in their prime, and from the end of the '90s we dominated without question. This will be the 53rd championship game between the two teams, in which we scored 4647 points and conceded 3239.
We asked our head coach Roberto Iniguez about his expectations before the tour to Russia.
