Getting ready for the first league game away from home
After two home-court victories we will play in PINKK- Pécsi 424's home at 6.30 pm on Saturday.
There have been many changes at the club in the summer, after having set up a contract about a three-year cooperation deal with the town of Pécs and the team of PEAC-Pécs. In Kozármisleny it has been set as the main objective to form a consistent division one team that offers the course of development for talented players who want to improve. As a result there have been player movements between the two sides. The young Szűcs siblings, combo guard Réka and 21-year-old Lilla have moved. Two youth players, Laura Szabó and Dorottya Molitor have also come from Pécs.They have signed U20 national team member Zsófia Jáhni, and U18 player Zita Vári. Fanni Csutorás has returned from the USA, but she will be facing a couple months of rehabilitation. Head coach Miklós Laczka can count on four international players, out of whom veteran Emilija Podrug will also be involved in the coaching staff's work. Future is represented by one of the prospects of Croatian basketball, 18-year-old, Mihela Lazic, 21-year-old center Jovana Markovic, and Serbian perimeter player Tijana Cukic has already been on their roster. So has Petra Sánta, Lilla Zsilinszki, Vivien Raus, and Nikolett Séra.
Our opponent has played one league game so far. They have been defeated 82-55 at the home of last season's silver medalists Szekszárd. They have last played in the EWBL international series, where they have come away with a one-point defeat playing guests to Ostrava. Our team has got a valuable win against DVTK a week ago, and we hope that on PINKK's home-court we will be able to make steps forward in terms of team building.
Before the game our former youth player Dalma Czukor has expressed her thoughts about the game.
