Betti got us going in the first quarter with a double after stopping DVTK on the defensive end, to which she then added two more from the foul line (0-4). After that our center gave a screen to Queralt of which she took advantage and made a jumper from mid-range, and then with Yvonne's lay-up we were already in an 8-0 run which made László Cziczás call his first time-out in the game (5th minute 0-8). Mokango beat Betti under the rim after the break was over and scored DVTK's first points in the game. However, Queralt was able to answer back right away with a lay-up. With less than two minutes on the clock Mokango scored again for Miskolc, this time she was successful from free throws, but Amanda copied her actions at the other end (4-12). Skoric had the final say in the period with a double off a fast-break (10th minute 6-12).
Candice opened the second with a double, to which Amanda added a three-point play. After that Medgyessy drained a three, but then Candice scored four quick points to restore our former double-digit lead forcing DVTK's next time-out (12th minute 9-21). Two minutes later Walker-Kimbrough put an end to the scoring drought with a long double, and when Diósgyőr made a turnover, Roberto Iniguez called his first time-out in the game (15th minute 11-21). Candice made a mid-range shot off an assist by Yvonne after the short pause, to which Skoric answered back immediately. Then the home bench got a technical, off which Yvonne scored a free throw and then she also made a triple. After that Skoric managed to score, and then Szűcs converted both shots from the foul line to come back down to a single-digit deficit (18-27). Not for long, though, Candice hit a double at the other end, but Skoric also made a double. Aleks split the pair at the free throw line, and then Mokango hit two, to which Yvonne replied from downtown, and then Queralt beat the buzzer with another triple to gain a comfortable double-digit lead for half-time (20th minute 21-35).
Skoric scored quickly at the beginning of the second half, to which Mokango added two more points to reduce the gap to ten points (22nd minute 25-35). After that Candice made two of two free throws, to which Putnina answered back with a lay-up forcing our next time-out (27-37). When the teams came back on court, Walker-Kimbrough made a double and then they also converted the and-one, DVTK came back to being down by five (24th minute 32-37). What's more, with two free throws by Medgyessy, they came all the way back to three. That's when Candice put an end to the home side's run with her signature mid-range double, and then Queralt hit a demoralizing triple, time-out Diósgyőr (34-42). After that Aleks scored for two, and then Candice added another double to our total. Walker-Kimbrough and Queralt exchanged buckets, and then our Spanish guard also made a lay-up to set the score for the third period (30th minute 36-50).
Walker-Kimbrough opened the final stage of the game with a quick lay-up, to which Queralt answered back with four consecutive points (33rd minute 39-54). After that Szabó hit a double, while at the other end Amanda buried a triple, forcing Diósgyőr's next time-out (41-57). Candice made a double after the teams came back on court, to which later Mokango answered back with one of her own, and then the center also made one of two from the free throw line. In the final minutes the only question remaining was the difference, and when the final buzzer rang we won the second game of the finals by seventeen points (40th minute 45-62).
Roberto Iniguez: It is always difficult to play in Miskolc, they never give up. We played softly for 6-7 minutes after half-time, and this is a good lesson for us, that we must never lose focus. We made another step forward, we are up 2-0, but we need to process this the right way, we have to stay focused. Zsófi's appearance on the court was very important for us, because for me she is the most valuable player of the team right from the beginning.
Zsófia Fegyverneky: We started the game very well. We knew that Miskolc is a lot stronger at home in front of their fantastic crowd. We expected that they would come out with bigger energy. We didn't concentrate well enough in the third quarter, we started softly, but we managed to bounce back afterward. All in all we controlled the game. Congratulations to DVTK, they fought well! They have a great home court, everybody enjoys playing here.

The board of our club has great experience in managing difficulties, but we are facing an especially huge challenge in terms of functioning due to the energy crisis, as well as on a professional level, since Courtney Vandersloot is for now unable to join our team due to personal reasons
Klubunk vezetésének nagy tapasztalata van már a nehézségek menedzselése terén, de most különösen nagy kihívások elé nézünk a működés tekintetében az energia-válság miatt, illetve szakmai vonalon is, miután személyes okok miatt Vandersloot Courtney egyelőre nem tud csatlakozni a keretünkhöz
