Our team is leaving for Kursk Tuesday morning, where on Wednesday from 5 pm Hungarian time the ball will be tipped off in the 6th round of Euroleague.
We can state that neither team that was reconstructed after last season is in a good shape. Recently both teams have left the court sady after the final buzzer, counting two wins and three defeats in Euroleague. While Roberto Iniguez's team has suffered a 21-point loss versus rivals Ekaterinburg we fell short in Pécs after 735 days and 56 games finished successfully in the league. Our team that is struck by injuries is not in an easy situation, and even though Kursk has been on a similar trajectory lately, they are still considered the favorites of the game. Especially considering that the Russians were able to afford to strengthen their roster in the last week and a half in many places. Jessica Breland and Glory Johnson have an important role in their WNBA teams as well, but their integration into the team will surely take some time. What can turn the game our way, though, is defense. It's true, that against PEAC we were performing way below our usual level in that regard, but excluding the second half in Pécs our defense has been working well so far, as opposed to Kursk who haven't been shining at that since the beginning of the season.
Our team has been working hard to get back on track, and to find the most efficient style of play in our new structure. We would surely need some self-confidence, too, so that we can convert our chances into points more efficiently. The most inmportant goal for Wednesday's game might be to get out of this battle mentally stronger. We wouldn't mind it either, of course, if it would pair up with a good result, too.

The board of our club has great experience in managing difficulties, but we are facing an especially huge challenge in terms of functioning due to the energy crisis, as well as on a professional level, since Courtney Vandersloot is for now unable to join our team due to personal reasons
Klubunk vezetésének nagy tapasztalata van már a nehézségek menedzselése terén, de most különösen nagy kihívások elé nézünk a működés tekintetében az energia-válság miatt, illetve szakmai vonalon is, miután személyes okok miatt Vandersloot Courtney egyelőre nem tud csatlakozni a keretünkhöz
