There are two serious match-ups left until the break in February, the first of hich we will play on the domestic stage against Atomerőmű KSC Szekszárd from 6 pm on Saturday.
The two teams have faced each other last time in October, when there was no excitement in the game. The guests had no way to stop our crushing offense in the first half, so despite the balanced second half we came away with a 24-point victory. Since then we got Candice back, while our rivals have recruited Tyaunna Marshall taking over the spot of leaving player Danielle, and they also added Sara Krnjic under the rims.
Szekszárd suffered a painful loss at home against DVTK two weeks ago, so they are currently at the 4th spot on the table with 12 wins and 4 losses. If they would like to make steps forward in the remaining games, they shouldn't make any more mistakes. We would like to strengthen our leading position, so we can expect a great battle on Saturday, in which we can also count on a big number of fans who are coming out to support us.
Haead coach Dávid Gáspár also wants to lead his team to victory: "We are in a rough stretch now, in which the derby against Szekszárd will be a crucial stop. It will also be important so that we can keep our leading position until the end of the regular season. We will play in light of that and we would like to leave the court as winners in front of the big number of fans who will accompany us to the game."
After the Friday morning practic we asked Jelena Brooks about her expectations.
