Local derby at the season opener

Our team is about to have a tough week after the successful debut. First, on Wednesday from 5.30 pm we are hosting UNI Gyõr Mély-Út, and then on Saturday Szekszárd will come to town.

In the epidemic situation we are preparing to have a smaller opening ceremony. This time you won't be able to see the showcase presented by our youth academy players, but after 5.15 the banner commemorating the Hungarian Cup triumph will rise to the ceiling, the Player of the Year Award will be handed out, and the most improved youth players will also be rewarded.

Due to the epidemic restrictions we ask our fans to arrive to Novomatic Aréna on time. Upon entry the use of hand sanitizer and the wearing of a mask is compulsory. Only the entrance on the Shell gas station's side will be open, you may enter only through that entrance. We ask everyone to obey the rules! Thank you!

Last year we faced Gyõr twice and managed to win on both occasions (76-48, 59-53). We have already had two successful trial runs against the green and whites, but from those we should draw many conclusions due to their uncompetitive nature. In the first round our local rivals collected a 91-82 victory against TFSE-MTK at home.

We began our campaign in the capital. In the success against Csata many mistakes slipped into our game, , but in the first minutes of the final quarter we had decided the outcome of the game. In the team building process we are advancing step by step, so we hope that there will be fewer mistakes against Gyõr. That is what two of our team's key players, Zsófi Fegyverneky and Jelena Brooks, who have recently extended their contracts are hoping for.



On Monday more than 100 fans have purchased their season ticket, the owners of which will get a free ticket to all Hungarian league games that will be open for fans to watch live. These cards will be available for purchase on Wednesday until 4 pm. Due to the limited number of spots, tickets to the game will be available depending on the number of season tickets sold at the venue from 4.30 pm for 1500 HUF. Due to the restrictions only the season ticket holders will be able to enter free of charge, we cannot provide any other discounts. Children seated on the lap of their parents under the age of six do not need to buy tickets.
