The board of our club has great experience in managing difficulties, but we are facing an especially huge challenge in terms of functioning due to the energy crisis, as well as on a professional level, since Courtney Vandersloot is for now unable to join our team due to personal reasons.
"We are under incredible pressure in terms of running the facilities because of the energy crisis" - Managing director Zoltán Török begins to explain the situation. - When operating our facilities the circumstances in which not only our club, but also the members of the men's basketball club and our academy do sports is our responsibility. The numbers our energy providers gave us require sacrifices which will reduce the competitiveness of our club marginally.
We are tirelessly working on the solution, on an action plan with which we can handle the situation at hand.
We ran into even more problems, since Courtney Vandersloot cannot act on her contract and join our team in the foreseeable future. In the current situation we would like to turn this disadvantage in our favor, andshow that we are willing to sacrifice our competitiveness if necessary. Our team's planned roster will get significantly weaker, which is a necessary step in the current situation. I would like to make it clear that we do not intend to make any new signings due to the economic challenges at the moment.
Our club will try to grab every opportunity, so it is planning to make significant steps not only towards increasing its revenues, but also towards the drastic and responsible cuts in expenses.
I ask our supporters , players, coaches, sports personnel, to welcome our actions with understanding, because all of them serve the purpose of maintaining our functionality.
