The new Euroleague Women season is getting started!

We begin our Euroleague Women campaign in Belgium from 8.30 pm on Thursday on the road against newcomers to the league Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen.

We are ahead of an interesting season, which we begin as title holders, against whom everyone will double their efforts. As we could measure in the SuperCup Women game, we still need a lot of work to do in terms of team building, but we have patience towards the team and the coaching staff. The way might say, the most important things will be decided in the spring. We are preparing and advancing forward game by game, but the improvement in our game is definitely visible. Our new players are adapting to our system more and more, and the connections and individual roles are forming nicely. The return of Betti Határ can add a lot to it all later on, whose rehabilitation is going well, but for now we have to fight our battles without her. An additional task is to figure out the preliminary plans regarding the point guard position in the absence of Courtney Vandersloot. What makes preparation even more difficult on the international stage is that some leagues have just begun, so there is not a lot of recordings available for analysis about the rivals, including our first opponents, the Belgian side Mechelen.

It is for certain that we are going to rely on our stable, and massive defense, and our team chemistry this season as well, which Dragana Stankovic also confirmed during our pre-game interview.
